I went into this album blind, having never heard of Clairo or her music before, but within the first couple of minutes, I thought to myself, if this is how the whole album will be, it's undoubtedly going to be enjoyable and I sure was.

Top songs on this album for me are Thank You, a love song that revolves around a relationship ending, but is thankful for it, which is a nice change from the usual love song one would expect in this day and age. Juna is another standout, a song about having such a strong connection in a relationship that everything becomes second nature, a message conveyed in the smooth tone that underpins the whole album.

I can't stress how much my sceptical opinions have changed in just the 38-minute 7-second runtime of this album, and how the love for it has blossomed the more I have listened to it. Everything feels as I would expect in this genre: emotional storytelling that does not overpower the songs, with melodies and hooks that are calm and silky. No real issues with the album, great from start to finish as it keeps its beautiful, relaxing tone.

Final Thoughts

If I could give you one word to describe this album, it would be 'smooth' or 'calming'. Both fit so well, and it's an excellent album to get people into her music, which I will certainly be checking out from now on.
