How We Review

The reviewing process is made by rating the album against ten different but critical categories, to help reach a final verdict. Each category is rated from zero to ten. One of the categories Replayability is decided by averaging out the the enjoyment score I give to each song out of ten. The other categories are:

1. Lyrics
2. Vocals
3. Instrumentation
4. Production Quality
5. Originality
6. Flow / Coherence
7. Replayability
8. Storytelling
9. Track Diversity
10. Culture / Personal Relevance

After each has its score form zero to ten other factors are then taken into account which may affect the final score. Examples of other factors could be the album being too long, weak opener or closer, lack of risk taking, and front-loading quality as some examples.

Once all those metrics have been taken into account the album gets a final score, as seen below.

0 - 1.9 = Atrocious / Unlistenable
2 - 3.9 = Poor/Weak
4 - 4.9 = Mediocre / Underwhelming
5 - 5.9 = Fair / Decent
6 - 6.9 = Good / Solid
7 - 7.9 = Very Good / Impressive
